Far-Out Thursday (classic): The KanDells

Minnesota has produced some good music artists: Bob Dylan, Prince, etc. Now, I am not comparing The KanDells to either of those artists, but there must be something in Minnesota that causes people to make good music. Maybe it’s because the winters are so cold that people are forced to stay inside and when some do that, they create music. What I do know is that “I’ve Met Death” is a good tune even if it is a little dark. I like the homespun feel of it, like it was recorded in someone’s garage or barn. This band managed to capture the 1967 psychedelic sound in 1965. Check it out and see for yourself.
